The Council of Ministers Wednesday approved a draft decision proposing that Bulgaria's President issue a decree appointing Todor Stoyanov as Ambassador of this country to Spain and as Bulgaria’s Permanent Representative to UN Tourism.

Bulgaria has been a member of UN Tourism since 1976 and has a long history of cooperation with the organization. During the 68th session of the UN Tourism Commission for Europe, held in Sofia in 2023, Bulgaria was elected a member of the organization’s Executive Council for the period 2023-2027.

Bulgaria shares UN Tourism’s vision of promoting competitive and sustainable tourism policies and views tourism as a driver of economic growth, inclusive development, and environmental sustainability, the Government Information Service reported.
