Bulgarian kickboxer Borislav Radulov won a bronze medal at the World Games tournament in Chengdu, China on Thursday. The 2019 Antalya (Turkiye) world champion defeated Roland Viczian of Germany 19:9 in 63 kg point fighting.
The other two Bulgarian national team members competing in the tournament Aleksandra Georgieva and Dimitar Stoyanov secured at least silver medals on Wednesday after qualifying for the finals in their categories.
Later today, Georgieva will fight for gold in the women’s under-60 kg point fighting against UK's Evelyn Neyens, while Stoyanov will contest the men’s under-75 kg K1 title against Israel’s Osaid Jodah.
The three kickboxers have brought Bulgaria its first medals at the World Games 2025, which feature 34 sports not included in the Summer Olympic programme.
