Bulgaria's Ralitsa Gadzheva has won the silver medal in the individual event at the Svechnikov Cup international fencing tournament, valid for the European Cup. 

The competition was held at the Asics Arena in Sofia and brought together 207 sabre fencers. Twenty-nine athletes represented Bulgaria, with several placing in the top 32: Dora Hristova finished 10th, Ekaterina Chausheva 16th, Nikoleta Dobreva 23rd, and Marina Apostolova 30th. Gabriela Georgieva placed 36th, and Teodora Yankova finished 49th.

A total of 41 teams competed in the cadet team event. Bulgaria’s first team earned the bronze medal. Ivaylo Andonov, Konstantin Atanasov, Nikola Meitsov, and Todor Stefanov defeated the UK’s third team 45-22 in the second playoff round, then prevailed over Turkiye’s second team 45-42 in the third round. In a bout for the semifinal, they faced Spain’s second team and won 45-37. Bulgaria missed the final after a 43-45 loss to Singapore’s first team. In the bronze medal match, the Bulgarians defeated Hungary 45-20 to secure third place.

Bulgaria’s second team - Alexander Ivanov, Nikola Ivanov, Yavor Prokopov, and Veselin Valev - finished 15th, while the third team - Preslav Andreev, Nikita Bonev, Deyan Gospodinov, and Nikola Kirkov - placed 27th in the final standings.
