Dr. Frank Quante, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, the airport operator of Burgas and Varna airports, will step down from his position to assume a senior management role within the Fraport Group in Turkiye, Fraport reported. The leadership transition comes at a pivotal moment for Fraport Twin Star, as the company advances major infrastructure and development projects, including the upcoming runway rehabilitation at Burgas Airport.

Quante will be succeeded by Michael Reusch, who currently serves as a board member for several Fraport AG subsidiaries, including Fraport USA Inc. and Fraport TAV Antalya (Turkiye).

“Leading Fraport Twin Star has been an exceptional journey, marked by collaboration, progress, and shared achievements. I am grateful for the dedication of our team, the trust of our partners, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of Bulgaria’s Black Sea airports,” Dr. Frank Quante said.

Having joined Fraport in 2003, Reusch has played a key role in managing global airport transactions and investments across various continents. He was in charge of Fraport AG’s asset management activities in North America and Asia as part of the company's International Activities & Services division in Germany. Most recently, he led a major EUR 2.5 billion long-term financing project to support Fraport’s investment in Antalya Airport, Turkiye, Fraport said.

Frank Quante took on the role of CEO of the Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD in 2020. A year later, he started an initiative that later became known as the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, becoming the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the organization.
