Bulgaria's readiness to adopt the euro will be discussed at a conference on Banking Today, organized by Investor.bg at Sofia's Inter Expo Center on Tuesday.

The first panel, Banking Policies: Awaiting the Euro 2.0, will bring together bankers and financial experts to discuss Bulgaria's preparedness for joining the eurozone, expectations for interest rates and financial forecasts for 2026.

The second panel, Financial Technologies, will feature industry experts discussing digital payments and the implementation of digital identification as a step towards faster and more secure access to financial services.

The third panel, Financial Solutions for Business, will address the financing environment in Bulgaria and recent developments in ESG regulations following the first non-financial disclosures.

The forum will open with a keynote conversation featuring Prof. Raul Eamets, economist, former member of the Supervisory Board of the Bank of Estonia and former Chair of the Estonian Fiscal Council, who will share Estonia's experience with adopting the euro, his insights on the future of the European banking sector, the role of central banks in the digital era, and the challenges to financial stability.
