site.btaTwo Bulgarian Performances to Be Staged at ITF SkupiFestival in Skopje


Two Bulgarian performances will be staged at the 19th International Theater SkupiFestival, which opened in Skopje on September 29 to October 4. On the stage of the Albanian Theater Skopje, on Friday, Yalta Art Room will present its performance of X, and the ivan Vazov National Theater will stage Medea.
The satire X includes texts selected by Boyan Kracholov and Vasil Duev-Taig, inspired by Persian philosopher and poet Omar Khayyam, and the two artists’ own thoughts.
This year, the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, which traditionally participates in the SkupiFestival, presents Euripides’ Medea, directed by Declan Donnellan. The audience will see Radina Kardjilova, nominated for the 2025 Ikar Award in the leading actress category, Velislav Pavlov, Valentin Ganev, Asen Dankov, Yavor Valkanov, Stelyan Radev, Vyara Tabakova, Radena Valkanova, Zhoreta Nikolova, Stefania Koleva, Elena Ivanova, Nadya Keranova, Ana Papadopoulu and others on the stage.
This year’s ITF SkupiFestival is under the motto “In the end, every mask must fall”, and presents to its audience theatrical performances from Bulgaria, Italy, Kosovo, Slovenia, Turkiye, Serbia and Albania.
