The third Time for Wine Festival will take place in Pleven from August 29 to 31 in the courtyard of the Regional History Museum, the Pleven Municipality said on Wednesday.
An exhibition and tasting of various wine and dessert grape varieties is planned, with the Pleven Institute of Viticulture and Enology once again participating in the initiative, hosting an open day dedicated to the Gamza red wine grape variety. The Vine, Wine, Time and People collection will also be presented with reports by specialists from 19 scientific, educational and cultural institutes from the country and abroad.
Concerts by the Pleven Ivan Valev Severnyashki Folk Song and Dance Ensemble and jazz performers will take place within the framework of the initiative. Workshops are prepared for visitors as well, with Svetoslav Krastev from the Institute of Viticulture and Enology presenting the technology of winemaking and explaining how to combine wine with food and how to select dishes. Chef Boryana Dimitrova will also be a guest of the festival, who will prepare live dishes, demonstrating specific techniques for cooking with wine.
The organizers of the festival are the Pleven Municipality and the Pleven Tourist Information Centre, with the support of the Institute of Viticulture and Enology and the Regional History Museum in Pleven.
