Denitsa Dikova exhibits minimalist photos combining dance and photography. The exhibition, titled O D D I T Y, is on until June 7 at the Etud Gallery in Sofia, the organisers say.

"The fingers, palms, wrists and their brilliant movement are a fragment from which she began to develop her idea. To transfer the hidden complexity, emotionality and depth of dance into photography. A first attempt at connecting dance and photography in one. In these shots she is both photographer and dancer-performer of the final product", says the team.

Denitsa Dikova is a multi-genre artist - choreographer, dancer, improviser and photographer. Through photographs she shows her view of life, namely the relationship between dance/movement and photography/stillness, constantly flowing into each other. She introduces the term choreo-photography to give a direct insight into her research and focus in art. He sees choreography as a set of closely complementary static frames, and photography as their reflection, their capture. The two arts being complementary is a core idea and concept she has focused on, along with exploring, analyzing and creating the NOW moment, the idea of NOW as the only existing thing and the expression of that moment through photography or performance.
