site.btaBulgarian National Radio Director Mitev Re-elected to European Broadcasting Union Executive Board

The Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) Milen Mitev has been unanimously re-elected as a member of the Executive Board of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) for the 2025-2026 term, BNR said. 

Mitev was re-elected during the 93rd EBU General Assembly, taking place in Lausanne, Switzerland, on December 5 and 6. The EBU Executive Board is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the EBU’s strategy and policies and is made up of senior representatives of EBU member organizations.

"It is an honour and a privilege to be re-elected as a member of the Executive Board of the European Broadcasting Union,” Mitev said as quoted by BNR. "It is crucial for all of us, as public service media [representative], to evolve both technologically and in terms of content to meet new challenges and expectations. BNR enjoys high public trust, continues to be the most quoted Bulgarian media outlet online, and is successfully attracting a younger audience through a range of audio and video podcasts," he said.
