In a declaration in Parliament on the occasion of the 4th year since the start of Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine, Vazrazhdane blamed the war on Ukraine and called the country "a geopolitical anti-Russian project". Leader Kostadin Kostadinov said the war "was provoked by the policy of Ukraine's most totalitarian pro-Fascist and chauvinistic regime".
"The policy of the ruling pro-Fascist regime in Ukraine was aimed against its own population but most of all, of course, it was aimed against Russia because Ukraine is essentially a geopolitical anti-Russian project," he said.
He went on to say that a Ukrainian nation does not exist and neither does a Ukrainian language.
He further spoke of an ongoing "genocide not only against the people who identify as Russians but against Ukrainians who identify as Ukrainians without seeing themselves as Russia's enemies, and that is a huge part of the population of Ukraine".
He slammed "the ruling regimes in the EU" for "not merely defending this policy but doing their best, by providing weapons, intelligence and helping any way they can, for further fanning up this military conflict while hypocritically claiming that it was started by Russia".
"Russia is not to blame for this war. Russia is not an aggressor. A war is being waged against the Ukrainian population and this is being waged by Zelenskyy's Fascist regime with the support of the pro-Fascist governments in the EU and the support of the pro-Fascist European Commission," he said. He believes the days of "this Ukrainian regime are numbered".
Further on, he spoke of "thousands of Bulgarians in Ukraine" killed by "Zelenskyy's bloody regime" - "because the forcible mobilization there has affected mostly the ethnic minorities".
On February 24, 2022, Russia launches a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including attacks from the north, east, and south. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, and other major cities were targeted.
