A record revenue of over BGN 1 billion has been collected from road tolls in 2025, outgoing Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov told journalists on Friday. Measures taken this year and all other improvements made within the National Toll Administration have led to this result, he noted. Ivanov gave a joint briefing with the Chair of the Management Board of the Road Infrastructure Agency, Eng. Yordan Valchev, and the head of the National Toll Administration, Eng. Oleg Asenov.
Ivanov pointed out that this was made possible after a series of organizational, political, and technological actions taken by all representatives of the executive branch, the management of the National Toll Administration, as well as legislative changes made by the National Assembly. He recalled that one of his first promises was to focus on the revenue side of the state budget through measures aimed at collecting road tolls.
Eng. Valchev stated that over BGN 1 billion in revenue has been recorded, adding that internal revenues at the Road Infrastructure Agency are also record-breaking and currently exceed BGN 100 million.
