National Coordinator for Combating Antisemitism and Deputy Foreign Minister Maria Angelieva met with a delegation of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), led by Anne-Sophie Sebban-Becache, the organization’s Europe Vice President, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Friday.

Both sides highlighted the excellent long-standing relations between Bulgaria and the AJC, built on active partnership in combating antisemitism and preserving the historical memory of the Holocaust.

Angelieva and Sebban-Becache reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation and expand joint initiatives to counter antisemitism, intolerance and hate speech.

The meeting took place during Sebban-Becache’s first international visit in her role as AJC Europe Vice President, underscoring the strategic nature of the partnership.
