site.btaNorth Macedonia Signs EUR 1 Bln Energy Memorandum with Turkiye’s Kazancı Group

The government of North Macedonia has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish company Kazancı Group for a EUR 1 billion energy sector project. The memorandum was signed by Shaban Djemail, Chairman of Kazancı Holding, and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, according to an official statement.

The project will focus on three key components: development of new electricity generation capacities, construction of a gas distribution network, and measures to enhance gas supply security.

“This is not just an infrastructure project,” said Prime Minister Mickoski. “It’s a strategic investment in our country’s energy security, economic future, and industrial development. It supports gasification, reduces reliance on imports, creates jobs, and mitigates exposure to foreign price and political volatility,” he said.
