A 30-year-old man was injured and taken to hospital in moderate condition with shrapnel wounds following overnight attacks on Odesa, Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, said on Telegram.

According to him, two overnight attacks damaged a critical infrastructure facility, leaving part of a district in the Ukrainian Black Sea city temporarily without electricity. Municipal services are working to address the aftermath.

Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
