Stefani Stoeva and Gabriela Stoeva won bronze medals after reaching the women’s doubles semi-finals at the International Challenge badminton tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan. The top-seeded Bulgarian duo were defeated in their bid for a place in the final by the fourth-seeded Lanny Tria Mayasari and Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi of Indonesia, losing 21-15, 15-21, 12-21 in a closely contested match.

Following their final competition of the year, the Bulgarians wrote on Instagram: “Another incredible year has come to an end! A fourth European title, fifth place at the 2025 World Championships in Paris, seven titles, world No. 11 in women’s doubles, and a top-80 ranking in mixed doubles. We are so grateful for everything we achieved this year – for the lessons, the battles, the victories, and the people by our side.
