In a bTV interview on Sunday, GERB-UDF Deputy Floor Leader Denitsa Sacheva said that National Assembly Chair Raya Nazaryan (GERB-UDF) will not accept the post of caretaker prime minister. According to Sacheva, the issue has been discussed many times, and Nazaryan herself has already addressed it publicly.

Sacheva added that the GERB party has taken a political decision that Parliament Chair Raya Nazaryan will not take on the role of caretaker prime minister. “The organization of elections must be maximally impartial and objective. It has to be carried out by a person over whom there can be no shadow of affiliation with any political party. As a clearly political figure, she cannot assume this position,” Denitsa Sacheva said.
