site.btaTwinning Agreement Between Sliven, Nis to Be Ratified on June 10

The twinning agreement between Sliven and the Serbian town of Nis will be ratified by the Nis Municipal Council on June 10, the press centre of Sliven Municipality said on Friday.

A delegation of the Municipality, led by Deputy Mayor Stoyan Markov and Municipal Councilor Georgi Georgiev, visited the Serbian town on the occasion of its holiday and was officially received by Nis Mayor Dragoslav Pavlovic and his team. Together, they discussed the parameters of the future twinning agreement.

The delegation participated in the town's festive events and held meetings with representatives of local municipalities, business and sports circles. The Nishko Pivo brewery was also visited, as its manager is from Sliven.

Markov met Nis Metropolitan Archbishop Arseny, to whom he handed over gifts from the Metropolitan of Sliven. Archbishop Arseny expressed his desire to visit Sliven.
