An exhibition entitled "Vasil Levski: The Apostle of Bulgarian Freedom" on loan from the Regional History Museum of Lovech (North Central Bulgaria) opened at the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Centre in Skopje to mark the 150th death anniversary of the Bulgarian national hero.

The Centre's Director Antonia Veleva said: "Levski sets an example of dedication to Bulgaria's freedom."

The Bulgarian Ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia, Angel Angelov, said: "Levski is semi-mythologized, semi-canonized and gives us much food for thought about what we are, what we were.  He was a normal down-to-earth man and at the same time he was holy. That is why he is in our hearts."
