Sofia Economic Forum VI will take place on January 27 at the Sofia Balkan Palace, as announced by the Delphi Economic Forum on Wednesday.

The 2026 edition of the event will highlight the development of the economy, infrastructure, and energy sector in Southeast Europe. The focus will be on strengthening Bulgaria's economic and energy position strategically in the region, following its accession to the Eurozone. Attention will be given to the country's energy transformation through investments in natural gas and renewable energy infrastructure and the modernization of transmission networks to improve regional connectivity.

The conference will also focus on the role of foreign direct investment and tourism as key pillars of sustainable regional development.

Expected speakers at the forum include Rosen Plevneliev, former President of Bulgaria (2012–2017); Grozdan Karadzhov, outgoing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications; Zhecho Stankov, outgoing Minister of Energy; MP Stanislav Anastasov; Assen Vassilev, former Minister of Finance; Kiril Petkov, former Prime Minister; Panagiotis Mavridis, Chair of the Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria; Lilyana Pavlova, former Vice President of the European Investment Bank; Nikolina Angelkova, former Minister of Tourism; Sergei Stanishev, former Prime Minister of Bulgaria; Yulian Popov, former Minister of the Environment; Stefan Kraus, Chief Operating Officer of Henley & Partners; and Vladimir Malinov, CEO of Bulgartransgaz.
