Voting with machines equipped with scanning devices will make elections unquestionably fair, since the current machines are compromised, There Is Such a People (TISP) leader Slavi Trifonov wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday. According to him, the voting machines cannot be trusted.
Not at the last moment, but a year ago, TISP’s Parliamentary Group proposed amendments to the Election Code, the replacement of the machines used for voting, and the removal of the so-called "dead souls" from the voter lists. For many years, "dead souls" in the voter registers have been influencing election results. No one removed them for so many years, and it is high time this happened, Slavi Trifonov adds.
"Someone from Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria said that these amendments should be withdrawn, otherwise the sponsors would face the fist of the protest. Apparently, some people imagine themselves as leaders of the protest - that is why they talk about the fist of the protest and conveniently ignore the fact that because of them a large part of Sofia’s residents are dealing with the mayor’s garbage," he further wrote.
"I continue to believe that Bulgarians are wise and that sooner or later the truth will prevail - both with regard to the fist and with regard to the garbage," he notes.
