site.btaBulgaria Defeats Brazil, Qualifies for 1/8 Finals of Men's U21 Volleyball World Championship

The Bulgarian volleyball national team has reached the single-elimination phase after defeating Brazil at the 2025 FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship in Jiangmen, China. In Pool C of the preliminary phase, Bulgaria beat Brazil 3:2 (25:17, 25:16, 20:25, 12:25,15:10) and will face the US team in the 1/8 finals.

This will be the fifth match of one of Bulgaria’s national volleyball teams against the US this summer. Bulgaria won four matches so far, the women U19 and U21 national teams won two matches each. At this Championship, the US won their pool by defeating host China.

Bulgaria’s match against Brazil was decisive of which team would go to the round of the 16 best teams at the Championship.
