The Regional Health Inspectorate and the Regional Library in Pleven are launching a joint initiative dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, Elvira Tsvetanova from the library's public relations department said on Thursday.

Тhe idea of ​​the two institutions is to organize monthly health talks, covering important issues related to disease prevention in line with global and European health observances.

The first talk will be held on March 11 by Dr Maria Mirova, Chief Inspector in the Department of Disease Prevention and Preventive Healthcare at the Regional Health Inspectorate. She will discuss personal responsibility as the basis for the success of both the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, type 2 diabetes, lung diseases and cancers. Admission to the talk is free.
