Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov held a working meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union Member States, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, as well as with the head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, the Government Information Service reported on Thursday. During their conversation at the Council of Ministers, Gurov presented the priorities of the caretaker cabinet, the main one of which is holding fair elections.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the public's trust in the process. He was adamant that the cabinet will strictly follow the law to organize the upcoming early elections professionally, transparently, and according to the rules.
During the conversation, Gurov noted the constructive dialogue and excellent cooperation with Bulgaria's European partners. He expressed gratitude for the broad support for Bulgaria's accession to Schengen and the eurozone. Gurov confirmed that Bulgaria is a reliable and predictable partner in the EU and NATO.
The complicated international situation was also on the agenda. Emphasis was placed on the situation in the Middle East. The topic of the war in Ukraine was also discussed, with Gurov highlighting Bulgaria's consistent support for Kyiv.
