Velichie Floor Leader Ivelin Mihaylov described Friday's unsuccessful vote of no confidence against the Rosen Zhelyazkov Cabinet as "the most successful one, as six parties supported it."
Five parliamentary groups voted against the Government - Vazrazhdane, Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) and Velichie, as well as Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB). Of the CC-DB coalition, CC have declared beforehand that they were going to back the no-confidence motion while DB said they would not vote save for one leader's voice against the Cabinet.
Mihaylov said that the result of the vote was determined by “the bought and manipulated votes from the [parliamentary] elections”. According to him, GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms were the main vote buyers, and during the elections There Is Such a People and BSP - United Left had votes added to their results.
The Velichie Floor Leader added that he was pleasantly surprised by Continue the Change's vote, and said that Democratic Bulgaria were “in agreement with the Government”. He denied that his party was a “pro-Russian wreck” and neither is Radostain Vasilev's party, MECh, since, he said, both had not mentioned Russia, unlike Vazrazhdane and its Floor Leader Kostadin Kostadinov.
Mihaylov said that the new vote of no confidence that Velichie is preparing will be about illegal construction, pointing out that nearly a million people live “in feudal dependence”.
