Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova and Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil opened a charity art exhibition titled “Children Draw for Children” at the National Assembly. The initiative, led by the Holy Synod, features award-winning Christian-themed artwork created by children and students. Proceeds from the art sales will help purchase medical equipment and supplies for а pediatric clinic at the Tsaritsa Yoanna-ISUL University Hospital in Sofia.
Kiselova emphasized the importance of noticing the beautiful and good in life, even in small details that matter in life.
Patriarch Daniil thanked Parliament for hosting the exhibition, stressing that the children’s art reflects their pure values, joy, and love for faith, family, and friends. He highlighted the significance of connecting creativity with compassion, noting that this form of selfless giving teaches children to care for others and builds lasting values. “The purchase of their artworks helps equip the pediatric ward at ISUL, so that their peers can receive care and feel love and support—knowing they are not forgotten and that someone has thought of them,” added Patriarch Daniil. According to him, this creates lasting connections in the children, and there is confidence that, as they grow into responsible citizens of our homeland, they will carry forward this spirit of care and selflessness, helping to shape a better society for us all.
