site.btaJapan's Prime Minister Welcomes President Radev with Military Honours

President Rumen Radev was welcomed with military honours at the residence of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Tuesday. The two leaders are holding a meeting, after which they will sign a declaration on promoting Bulgaria’s relations with Japan to the level of strategic partnership.

A joint news conference is also planned.

On Monday, Japan’s Emperor Naruhito gave an audience for Radev. The meeting lasted half an hour and took place at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and is part of Radev's official visit to Japan.

President Radev is on an official visit to Japan, heading a Bulgarian delegation which includes representatives of the country’s business sector.
