Eleven Bulgarian Fencers to Compete at 2025 European Championships in Genoa

Eleven Bulgarian fencers compete at the 2025 European Fencing Championships which starts in Genoa, Italy, on June 14, the Bulgarian Fencing Federation announced.

Bulgaria will be presented by Deyan Dobrev, Svetlozar Iskrov and Rahim Rashaida in Epee Men; Yoana Ilieva, Olga Hramova, Beloslava Ivanova and Emma Neikova in Sabre Women; Simeon Dalekov, Viktor Filev, Kaloyan Peshev and Todor Stoychev in Sabre Men.

From Saturday, June 14, to Thursday, June 19, 477 athletes from 42 nations will compete in the Championships. Saturday starts with preliminary rounds of women’s foil and men’s sabre and finals in the late afternoon. On Sunday, June 15, men’s epee and women’s sabre will take center stage. On Monday, June 16, are the women’s epee and men’s foil competitions. Team competitions begin on Tuesday, June 17, opening with women’s foil and men’s sabre. On Wednesday, June 18, the winners in the team competitions in men’s epee and women’s sabre will be known, and Thursday, June 19, will end with women’s epee and men’s foil.
