site.btaTourism Ministry, Bulgarian Consulate General Present Bulgaria as Year-Round Destination for Health, Spa Tourism in Frankfurt

The Bulgarian Tourism Ministry and the Consulate General in Frankfurt am Main, and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa Tourism (BUBSPA) held a targeted information event in the German city on Tuesday, entitled "Bulgaria – Known and Unknown. A Dream Destination Is Presented," which focused on the wealth and potential of Bulgaria as a destination for 365 days of health tourism, the BUBSPA said Wednesday.

The event brought together over 50 guests from Germany, including specialists, representatives of the tourism industry, tour operators, airlines, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, organizations, and journalists. Diplomats from the Consulates General of the People's Republic of China and Taiwan in Germany also took part.

The forum was opened by the Consul General of Bulgaria in Frankfurt, Diana Popova. BUBSPA Ambassador Meglena Plugchieva delivered the keynote presentation on "Bulgaria: The Dream Destination for Balneology and Wellness Tourism". The participants were greeted on behalf of Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh, as well as by BUBSPA Chair and European Spa Association President Siyka Katsarova. Tihomir Patarinski, Tourism Attaché of the Tourism Ministry in Germany, also took part in the official opening.
