Three people were injured in overnight drone attacks on Odesa and the surrounding region, Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper said on Telegram Wednesday.
Kiper noted that Odesa and the surrounding region came under drone attacks for a second consecutive night, causing damage to port infrastructure, administrative buildings and warehouses, passenger vehicles, and structures on the grounds of a men’s Orthodox monastery.
All relevant services are working at the scene to deal with the consequences of the attack.
Local Telegram channels reported damage to buildings of the Holy Dormition men’s monastery, adding that one seminarian was injured and hospitalized.
Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and are the third largest population group in Ukraine, according to the latest official census. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
