A two-day forum is taking place at Sofia Tech Park on June 11 and 12 with the goal to encourage young people to choose Bulgaria for their career development. Participating in the “Career & Life - Why Bulgaria?” career forum are 85 companies looking to hire young Bulgarians. Attending are representatives of the Executive, the Legislative and trade unions, experts, and public figures.

The career forum together with a “Demography Has No Price” national discussion are organized by the DNA Association, the Bulgaria Wants You platform, and Economic.bg. They are held under the auspices of Vice President Iliana Iotova. Those interested can watch online on the organizers’ platforms or visit the venue free of charge after registering online at Bulgaria Wants You’s website.

On Sunday, the forum was opened by Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel. In her speech, she said that the Bulgaria Wants You platform gives every interested person the chance to become part of Bulgaria’s business system. The place for young Bulgarians’ career development is Bulgaria, she noted.

Gabriel also said, as quoted by the Government Information Service, that education and innovation are the two key instruments for overcoming the challenges in all strategic sectors, and Bulgaria is striving to become a leader in Southeast Europe with a total value of its start-ups at EUR 5.6 billion and with the provision of more jobs per 100,000 people than in any other country in the region.
