October 2025 saw an 8.1% increase in production of electricity compared to the previous month, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported on Tuesday. The production of solid fuels increased significantly due to higher consumption by thermal power plants for the production of electricity.

A decrease of 16.7% to 5,000 tonnes was registered in the production of liquefied petroleum gases. That decrease was 28.6% compared to the same period from 2024.

Compared to the same month of 2024, an increase of 35.9% was reported in the production of solid fuels.

In the deliveries of energy products, the largest monthly increase of 29.6% was observed in natural gas. The deliveries of solid fuels rose significantly, as they were needed for the increased electricity production.

A check with the NSI shows that in September compared to August, the largest increase in energy product production was recorded for diesel fuel, at 7.3%, while the largest decrease was recorded for solid fuels, at 30.8%.

In terms of energy product deliveries for the same period, the largest increase was in natural gas, at 15.5%, while the largest decrease was in solid fuels, at 32.2%.
