site.btaGotse Delchev Hosts Ethno Jazz Concert Featuring Musicians from Indonesia and Mallorca

Gotse Delchev (Southwest Bulgaria) will host an ethno jazz concert featuring musical groups from Indonesia and Mallorca on Monday. The event will take place in the City Park, and admission is free, according to the press center of the Gotse Delchev Municipality.

The concert is organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Sofia and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Bansko.

The programme will feature the world-famous Indonesian band Keubitbit and the group Qanat from Mallorca. The Indonesian musicians will arrive in Gotse Delchev immediately after their participation in Bansko Jazz Festival. This will be the second presentation of Indonesian jazz in the city, following the concert by the Vertigong group in 2024. Keubitbit's repertoire includes traditional Indonesian motifs intertwined with contemporary jazz arrangements.

Qanat will perform for the first time in front of an audience in Gotse Delchev. Qanat is a musical project that combines influences from the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Their compositions emphasize the cultural exchange between different musical traditions.
