MRF-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski said on Tuesday evening: "Today we gave a lesson in democracy and love for Bulgaria." He was quoted by the party's press office as saying: "Today we said NO to hatred! YES to democracy!". In his words, "this was a wonderful day for Bulgarian democracy - a day when we stated, peacefully but firmly, that no one can divert our homeland, Bulgaria, from its Euro-Atlantic path; that democracy has no alternative and that only through their vote can people grant or withdraw power - at elections, as enshrined in the Constitution; and that power is a responsibility to the people."

His statement came in the wake of rallies in support of the government initiated by MRF-New Beginning across Bulgaria. They were held under the motto "No to hatred!" in defence of Bulgaria's democracy, security and stability.

"All of Bulgaria saw how positive we are. All of Bulgaria saw how united we are. And for that, I sincerely thank each and every one of you," the MRF-New Beginning leader said.

He thanked the MRF members, voters and supporters "for the strength and dignified conduct with which we once again demonstrated why MRF is the most responsible and most stable political force in the country". Peevski also said: "Thank you for your wisdom, for your strength, for the courage to defend democracy in the way only MRF can: calmly, firmly and with dignity. Our conduct today gave everyone a lesson - a lesson in democracy and love for Bulgaria."
