A total of 20 films will be presented within Cinema for Travelers Festival, taking place every evening from August 1 to 17 at G8 Cultural Center and Euro Cinema in Sofia, organizers from Pozor Company said here Tuesday.

The event opens with the premiere of Somewhere in Iceland. Desislava Filipova will share her adventures in the coldest European country.

On August 2, Radoslav Kehayov will speak about his journey through Nepal before the screening of Namaste Himalaya. The film follows the story of Anna and Michael as they crisscross Asia from Mongolia to China, through Myanmar, to Tibet and the Himalayas. Namaste Himalaya will also be shown on August 11, when Vyara Timcheva will talk about the Himalayas and present her travel book Invasion into Eurasia.

Show Me Lisbon on August 7 and Show Me Rio on August 12 will be accompanied by presentations. Ekaterina Limoncheva will speak about the Portuguese capital, while Lora Traykova will share her experience of living in Rio de Janeiro.

On August 13, there will be a night dedicated to Iraq. Zornitsa Shepkova will recount her stay in one of the least visited countries by tourists, before the screening of The Invisible Beauty of Iraq, a film about Latif al-Ani, the father of Iraqi photography.

Another rarely visited destination will be presented on August 16 by Elena Koleva: the Yemeni island of Socotra, before the screening of Shooting in Socotra.
