Bozhana Apostolova will be remembered as a beloved artist, a respected public figure, and a prominent figure in Bulgarian literature, said President Rumen Radev on the writer's passing, as quoted by the head of State's Press Secretariat.

In a letter of condolence to her family, loved ones, and colleagues, Radev notes that the many awards Apostolova received over the years, including the highest state honour, the Order of the Balkan Range, First Class, are an indisputable recognition of her professional path as a writer.

"Through her words, Bozhana Apostolova inspired, awakened minds, and turned language into light. Her work resonated with the voice of truth and humanity, which earned her the love of generations of readers," the President writes in his letter.
