The post notes that sushi chefs from 17 countries took part in the culinary competition, going through several competitive rounds.
"Martin Vladimirov’s signature dish was titled ‘The Valley of Roses’ and symbolizes the cultural bridge between Japan and Bulgaria - a meeting of Japanese purity and the Bulgarian soul," shared the Bulgarian Embassy in Tokyo. The presentation was accompanied by the traditional Bulgarian folk song ‘Izlel e Delyu Haydutin’.
The diplomatic mission further added that Vladimirov’s award marks a historic debut for Bulgaria on the global sushi scene — a recognition that places the country among those contributing to global innovation in Japanese culinary tradition.
