site.btaBTA Signs Cooperation Agreement with Bulgarian-Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Director General of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) Kiril Valchev and Valeri Delibaltov, Chair of the Bulgarian-Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) signed on Thursday a cooperation agreement between the two organizations at the BTA National Press Club in Sofia.

The contract regulates the relations between BTA and BMCCI in the systematic coverage of the activities of the business association and its members, the copyrights on the information, video content and photos submitted by the organization, as well as cooperation in events.

The BMCCI is the eighth bilateral business chamber in Bulgaria with which BTA has established official partnership relations. The agency already has such partnerships with the chambers of Germany, Romania, France, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Japan.

The BMCCI’s main task is to promote economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Moldova. The objectives also include supporting business, strengthening cultural and educational ties between the two countries, promoting cultural exchanges and educational partnerships in order to preserve the Bulgarian identity. The Chamber is also developing cross-border cooperation with Bulgaria and the EU.

The BMCCI has 28 members and focuses mainly on transport. The aim is to double them by the end of the year, Valeri Delibaltov said, adding that some 250,000 Bulgarians and Gagauz currently live in Moldova.  

Kiril Valchev announced that in connection with this year's Day of Bessarabian Bulgarians, celebrated on October 29, the agency is planning to organize free concerts in front of the Agency's National Press Clubs in Taraclia and Odesa with the participation of singer Ilia Lukov.
