Over 140 publishers will participate in the Spring Book Fair in Sofia. The opening of the forum is on May 24, the organizers from the Bulgarian Book Association (BBA) announced.
Exhibitors will present their activities and works in the park in front of the NDK culture and conference centre until June 2. The programme consists of more than 110 cultural events, including 40 on the specially designated stage.
The Sofia International Literary Festival for Children and Youth will also take place at the same location from May 27 to June 1. Among the foreign authors who will be present at the forum are Bart Moeyaert, Hannah Gold, Marcella Ward, Tim Collins, Daniele Movarelli, Alice Coppini, Stephen Houghton, and Anja Portin, the BBA said.
The Spring Book Fair and the Sofia International Literary Festival for Children and Youth are supported by the Sofia Municipality and are part of its calendar of cultural events. Other partners include the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and Science, the online platform "Knigovishte", the Children's Books Foundation, the National Network for Children, and the Bulgarian Library and Information Association.
