An exhibition in the library of the New Bulgarian University in Sofia presents books and academic articles under motto "Waiting for the Euro". The exhibition opened Thursday and will be on until June 15, said the organizers.

The opening was timed to coincide with Europe Day. "The topic of the single European currency is not new for the library. In 2016 it held an exhibition titled The Road to the Euro and the occasion was the 15th anniversary of the adoption of the euro as the official currency in circulation. The euro changeover is an important issue for us all," the organizers say.

Among the books on display is Bulgaria in the Eurozone's Waiting Room by Josif Avramov, Currency Risk in the Economy: The Experience of Eastern European Countries with a Currency Board by Garabed Minasian, The Euro – How a Common Currency Threatens the Future of Europe. by Joseph Stiglitz. A team of librarians and other experts worked on the exhibition, and the list of sources that goes with it was compiled by Penka Karaivanova.
