The Velichie party has reacted to Thursday's allegations by MECh leader Radostin Vasilev, who accused MPs and the leader of the Velichie party of offences involving document fraud, siphoning of state resources and misuse of the party's subsidy.

All campaign and subsidy expenses have been fully reported and are subject to comprehensive financial oversight, Velichie said in a statement. "We will publish every document if necessary, but we will not allow fabricated accusations to replace the debate on policies," the statement read.

Velichie leader Ivelin Mihaylov stated: "We will not give in to blackmail, coercion and pressure from entities that cling to power through fear and manipulation. Our fight is not against individuals, but against the system that produces them."

The party condemned attempts at political blackmail and manipulation allegedly organized by individuals linked to the MECh party and Radostin Vasilev.

Mihaylov claimed that GERB leader Boyko Borisov and DPS-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski had suggested that Velichie replace There Is Such a People in the government coalition. "This time no money was offered, there were only threats," Mihaylov said.

"They told me: 'We know who controls the courts and the prosecution magistracy.' They are not seeking justice - they create noise, insinuations and arrests to crush political opponents," he added.

Mihaylov described Radostin Vasilev's statement as part of the same script: "Instead of facts, human relationships and social cases were cast as 'crimes'. This is aimed at discreditation, not justice."
