1937: Bulgaria and Yugoslavia sign secret Pact of Perpetual Friendship and Indestructible Peace.
1990: Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union is set up.
1996: National Committee for Protection of the Rights of Bulgarians Beyond the Country's Present Borders is set up.
2005: Bulgaria signs agreement with EU establishing framework of country's participation in EU crisis management operations.

1935: King Boris III decrees nationalization of radio broadcasting in Bulgaria; Bulgarian National Radio marks its birthday.
1945: National Children's Theatre opens in Sofia (now Nikolai Binev Youth Theatre).
1995: Zhan Videnov forms Cabinet. Remains in power until February 12, 1997.
2008: Military Monuments Act adopted.
2009: Bulgaria's largest wind turbine unveiled near Somovit Village, Pleven Municipality (North Central Bulgaria).
