A state of emergency has been declared in various municipalities in the regions of Burgas, Montana, and Pernik, Deputy Minister of Interior Toni Todorov told reporters on Friday. He took part in a meeting of the Ministry's Operational Headquarters in connection with the complicated weather situation in Bulgaria.
Earlier in the day, Interior Minister Daniel Mitov convened the Operational Headquarters and activated the disaster plan for flooding, Todorov added.
