The National Toll Administration said that on September 1, toll rates per km for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes and the maximum toll will be updated. On March 3, Council of Ministers provided for a gradual change in the tariff for fees collected for passing through and using the national road network, said the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA).

The first amendment to the tariff came into force on April 1, 2025, with fees being updated by 10%. The second amendment, effective September 1, will also be 10%, which is a total of 20% for the two stages and in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers. RIA explained that if, until April 1, 2025, a route map for a given section cost BGN 10, for the period from April 1 to August 31, the price was BGN 11, and from September 1, it will be BGN 12.

There is also a change in the amount of compensatory fees, as they are set at twice the maximum toll for the respective category of vehicles.

The prices of vignettes for light vehicles remain unchanged.

The revenues from vignette and toll fees after the changes are expected to reach BGN 1,077,930,199 on an annual basis.
