site.btaPolice Operation Discovers and Destroys 900 Kg of Cannabis
Nearly a ton of cannabis was discovered and destroyed in a joint operation by criminal investigators from the Blagoevgrad Regional Directorate and the General Directorate for Combating Organised Crime, police said on Friday.
Over 240 cannabis plants with a total weight of about 816 kilograms had been planted near the village of Debren, and another 50 plants with a weight of about 83 kilograms were found near the village of Golem Tsalim.
Pre-trial proceedings have been launched.
