The partial state of emergency in the municipalities of Harmanli and Lyubimets was lifted on Friday. The decisions of Harmanli Mayor Maria Kirkova and Lyubimets Mayor Anastas Anastasov were published on the official websites of the respective local administrations.

A state of emergency was declared in response to a major wildfire that began Monday in the Radinchevo protected area, located in the Harmanli municipality of the Western Sakar Mountains.

The flames endangered the village of Dositeevo, prompting plans for evacuation on the evening of August 5. The fire also extended into Lyubimets Municipality, near the village of Yerusalimovo.
