Bulgarian defence industry representatives and executive authorities signed a memorandum aimed at improving cooperation at a ceremony at the Ministry of Defence on Wednesday, the Ministry said. The document was signed by Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev, Minister of Economy and Industry Peter Dilov, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences President Evelina Slavcheva, and representatives of the Bulgarian Defence Industry Association.

On July 9, Zapryanov told a briefing at the Council of Ministers: "This memorandum will enhance coordination and maximize the use of our domestic industry's capabilities to rearm the Bulgarian Armed Forces".
