site.bta93 Reports of Violations Filed on Election Day, Interior Ministry Secretary General Says

A total of 93 reports of election violations have been filed since the start of election day, and eight pre-trial proceedings have been initiated, the Interior Ministry's acting Secretary General Georgi Kandev said on Sunday on Facebook.

A total of 15,408 Interior Ministry officers are involved in securing section election commissions, Kandev added, noting that every report is being checked. "Today we will remain on duty and will act uncompromisingly against all violations and crimes," he said.

Kandev also reported that a report was received in the village of Mikre, Blagoevgrad Region, on Saturday about a man and a woman threatening witnesses in a pre-trial proceeding related to vote-buying. The two have been identified and detained. 

A report was filed via the 112 emergency number that a car carrying an MP candidate in the Blagoevgrad area was being forced off the road by two SUVs. Authorities responded and the individuals involved were detained, said Kandev.
