This National Assembly is harmful and “we will do everything necessary to prevent it from working,” Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov told journalists in Parliament's lobby on Friday. He was asked whether the opposition will be able to consolidate and overthrow the Government.
"We asked a serious question about demography, but the Deputy Prime Minister for some reason had trouble answering," Kostadinov said. “I wanted to explain what is being done in Greece, but I was banned from the floor in the middle of my speech, after which a scandal broke out," Kostadinov added, sarcastically referring to his conversation outside the hall with National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova. “The Bulgarian State has sunk into such a deep hole,” he said.
Vazrazhdane’s leader added that he was banned from speaking because he had exceeded the time limit by 23 seconds. The National Assembly's work was delayed by an hour because “at the meeting of its presiding body, we had to calculate exactly how many seconds has each of us used,” Kostadinov said. “Who benefits from this? For us that is good, because this way we sabotage the work of the majority, which is our job as an opposition and we do it well,” he added.
