The lowest temperatures in Bulgaria in May 2025 will be between 10C and 15C, Krasimir Stoev of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology told BTA. The highest temperatures will be between 38C and 44C.
The average monthly temperature in Bulgaria in July will be above the month’s usual temperatures, which vary between 22C and 26C in most of the country, and between 6C and 14C in the mountains
The amounts of precipitation will be above the respective norms, which are between 60 and 90 litres per square metre (l/sq m) in most of the country, 30 to 60 l/sq m along the Black Sea coast and in the Struma River Valley, and 70 to 120 l/sq m in mountains and foothills.
July 1 will be mostly sunny. Cumulus clouds will form over the mountains and the eastern half of the country in the afternoon, with thunderous showers in some parts.
Mostly sunny during the rest of the first 10 days of the month. Temperatures ranging between 32C and 37C, slightly lower at the Black Sea coast. Brief showers on July 7 and 8.
Mostly throughout the rest of the month. Possible showers in some areas on July 18 and 28.
Thermometers will hit 40C to 44C during the hottest days of July.
