National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova has supported Ljupcho Georgievski, former chair of the now-dissolved Ivan Mihailov Cultural Club,  after his conviction by the court in Bitola. This transpired from a Facebook post by Hristian Pendikov, secretary of the cultural club "King Boris the Third" in Ohrid. The information was also confirmed to BTA by the press centre of the National Assembly.

"Today, together with the chair of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Nataliya Kiselova, we give our support to the chair Ivan Mihailov cultural club in Bitola Ljupcho Georgievski against the shameful sentence that was pronounced hours ago. He was condemned only because he quoted Ivan Mihailov. The struggle for the rights of Bulgarians in the Republic of North Macedonia (RSM) is our priority," Pendikov wrote on Facebook and posted a photo with Kiselova.

Kiselova and Pendikov talked on Thursday during a lecture of journalist Boyko Vassilev “Sofia, Skopje and Brussels in the boat, not forgetting Belgrade” at the Macedonian Cultural House in Sofia, the Kiselova’s office told BTA. The conviction of Ljupcho Georgievski was also brought to the attention of the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Theodoros Roussopoulos by Parliament chair Nataliya Kiselova.
